Chef Joe Lumbrazo has been one of the Master Chefs participating in the March of Dimes Triangle Signature Chefs Auction for many years. The event in nearby Durham, NC is one of more than 200 similar events held across the country to benefit the March of Dimes.
Local attendees will sample signature dishes prepared by some of the best chefs in the Triangle area. They will then have the opportunity to bid on both silent and live auction packages, all of which will contribute to the March of Dimes’ mission of making sure that all babies are born healthy.
You’ll often find the owners and staff of the Backyard Bistro giving back to the community in the way of local charity event participation.
Chef Joe and the Backyard Bistro have participated in an Evening with Master Chefs, which benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Chef Joe has participated in this event for the past several years and is currently the coordinating chef.
Other charity events include the MS Walk in Raleigh where Backyard Bistro provides food at a discounted rate so that more of the funds can go directly to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
More recently, Backyard Bistro participated in the Red & White Food and Beverage Festival at the NCSU State Club, where ticket sales supported the Wine to Water charity.
Of course, you’ll generally find the Backyard Bistro restaurant packed any day of the week with sports fans of all kinds including Wolfpack and Hurricanes fans, families, concert-goers, and business professionals.
